THE chair I am obsessing over

Since I carried on and on about the AHHHHH-mazing chair so much I had to attach a few before and after pictures. I loved the color I used so much (Rustoleum brand spray paint; Rosemary color) that I started painting one of my dining room chairs the same color. Ehhh - didn't look as good but on the flip side I now have one more project to look forward to since I now have a half painted chair with no cushion in my dining room! I'm now thinking coral....hmmmm....OK - but back to this fabulous new chair sitting completed and ready to be bought in the showroom! Below are a couple BEFORE's:
A little worn and ratty. It also had that lovely attic musk. I really can't make too much fun of the piece primarily because it appears that I was a bit lazy in taking the before pictures and couldn't be bothered to remove the large cooler or extemeley dirty paint bucket from under the chair. Let's all pretend the before pictures were taken at the "before house" (ie not ours!)!! And now onto the AFTER's:

How much better does it look???? We found this fabric at a place here in Tampa and decided that we had to have it. Didn't know exactly for what but we knew we would make it work. Since no one in this family is a seamstress we had the pillow done professionally which makes it look 1000x's better. Are y'all in love with it as much as we are? I hope so!

Ok, I'm off - I need to go figure out what to do with my half painted dining room chair...

New Projects!

One of the recurring themes I saw at the Atlanta Market was painted furniture. Obviously, this made me so happy since that was my latest wagon I have jumped on. I rambled on and on each day over all the possibilities and my excitement grew with each new piece and variation I saw. There were painted chairs, tables, dressers, hutches, bed posts and on and on and on. High gloss to distressed and bold to muted - all colors were represented. And, I loved each and every one of them! I couldn't wait to get back home and get started. I got home and, well, instead life and work (mainly work) took place. Boo! I did find some time yesterday to start painting a chair that has been sitting in the garage and finished it today. It looks fabulous! We had the seat covered in a gorgeous Asian inspired silk print and I am so anxious to secure the cushion back on the chair and debut the finished look. OHHHH - is it going to be amazing!! To top off my excitement I found four new pieces today to start on. I got two matching chairs, a dresser and a china cabinet. My furniture high today could not be matched!! I have been dreaming of paint colors, researching distressing techniques, looking up new handles and toying with various fabrics to use. Don't you just love when you get so excited over a project that it consumes your every thought? I seriously can not stand it! As I did with the wicker table and yellow chair I have already started taking pictures and documenting each stage so I can share the process with y'all. Since my free time continues to be a bit limited as of late I can't promise these will be done immediately but knowing how I can get a little one track minded when I am excited about something something tells me I will be done sooner than later! I'll update again soon on the progress but check back soon for a picture of the ahhhh-mazing chair. I guarantee when you see it you are going to want it for yourself - no matter what your personal style is!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Whew! Have we had quite the busy past week! Last week I tagged along for my first install. What a newbie I am - first of all - I didn't even know the proper terminology! I would have just said - "last week I tagged along for my first bringing-the-furniture-art-and-accessories-to-the-clients-house-and-put-them-where-they-looked-pretty-excursion". But, now that I am a seasoned vet I am way too professional to use run on sentences like that. So, back to our first install...it was like Extreme Home Makeover!
**BEFORE (Living Room)**

The clients were out of town so we drove our loaded to the gills U-Haul to their house and within 24 hours had three rooms (!!) finished.
**AFTER (Living Room)**

It was amazing to see what a transformation took place! How much fun it would be to go out of town and come home to a re-done place! I truly had a blast participating in it and look forward to many more. We literally drove out of their driveway and straight up to Atlanta for the Market. Checked in Thursday night and shopped, shopped, shopped all the way until Monday afternoon. This was also my first Market to attend and all I can say is WHOA! It is a bit daunting! Thankfully, we had quite the agenda planner (aka Gerry) who guided us left and right and up and down always to the right destination. We are going to have some fabulous new items arriving soon. And, when I say new - I mean new items, new lines and completely new adventures! Along with all the great art, lamps and accessories we have at the showroom we will very shortly be carrying Ame & Lulu bags (www.ameandlulu.com) as well as Four Seasons Custom Furniture (www.shopfourseasonsfurniture.com). These sofas and gliders may be the most comfortable things ever - seriously, ever! I volunteered to try out each chair and sofa they had to make sure we were ordering the best ones - you can thank me later. In addition to those two big new lines we are also now going to have a new lighting line which is breathtaking, tons of fabulous new pillows, gorgeous art and some fun new scarves and accessories for the fall! Below I've included snapshots from our Market trip!

**what no room should lack**

**How Great is this leather sofa?**

**These pillows are linen with felt pillows - FABULOUS! Got a few different colors!**

**Loved how they grouped together the three end tables to make one larger table**

**Welcome to the CYAN Circus! Such a creative showroom!**
(this is where our big purple chandelier is from!)

**Our new lighting line - Currey & Company. Phenom!**

**The Hobo bag**

**Our weekend getaway combo**
(great for our Auburn fans and maybe the Gators too!)

There's so many more items but I already felt like I overloaded on pictures!

We hope you are just as excited as we are about all our new finds and we can't wait to update you when they start trickling in! Oh - and - just because we've decided to change up our inventory a bit we've decided to update the showroom too! We're mixing up the rooms and featuring new colors we saw that we loved. Stay tuned for our own Extreme Showroom Makeover....
